Sample Internship Placements for Gender, Leadership, and Public Policy Graduate Students

Learn about paid internship opportunities in nonprofit organizations, made possible by a grant from the Cummings Foundation.

To gain a deeper understanding of the political and policymaking process, graduate certificate students spend 160 hours over the two semesters as interns. Internship sites include state or federal legislative offices, government agencies, advocacy oriented nonprofit organizations, research centers and think-tanks, and private sector lobbying firms. Internships are meant to bridge the gap between where students are now in their careers and where they would like to be in terms of experience, skills, and professional networks.
