UMass Boston is planning for most in-person courses and activities to safely return to campus this fall. We are also considering whether some courses should continue to be offered in a remote format to provide flexibility and reduce campus volume. Online programs will proceed as usual. UMass Boston's MPA program imparts the skills and insight you need to effectively lead and manage public programs. We teach the essentials in budgeting and finance, economics, ethics, organizational behavior, politics, and statistics. Graduates go on to become leaders in government, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
U.S. News & World Report ranks our MPA program as #69 in the nation. We maintain strict NASPAA accreditation, and we also offer a specialized Gender, Leadership, & Public Policy Track of the MPA program.
