Meet Some of Our MPA students

Julissa Colón is a member of the MPA Class of 2022 cohort and serves as the Special Programs Coordinator at Holyoke Community College. She studies as part of the Gender, Leadership, Public Policy (GLPP) track of the MPA program. Julissa holds a BA from Smith College in Latin American studies and an AA from Holyoke Community College.

A graduate assistant and member of the MPA Class of 2022, Jessica (Jay) Wong is the Program Director at the Massachusetts Asian American and Pacific Islanders Commission. Jay previously worked in several positions including as a community engagement specialist and a development coordinator. She holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in political science and government.

Tim Cronin is a member of the MPA Class of 2023 cohort and serves as its graduate assistant. He is also a Spring 2022 research fellow at the Edward J. Collins, Jr. Center for Public Management at UMass Boston. Tim has a BA from Stonehill College in economics. He is currently the Director of Climate Policy for Health Care Without Harm in Massachusetts. Previously he worked as State Director at Climate XChange and before that was at the Climate Action Business Association as an associate and later their Policy Manager.

A member of the Class of 2022, Alana Hylton is studying in the Gender, Leadership, Public Policy (GLPP) track of the MPA program. She is currently the Program Manager at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), responsible for monitoring and compliance in the affirmative action department. Alana has a BS in management from Lasell College.

Luis Morales is in the MPA Class of 2023 and holds a B.A. in Government from Hamilton College. In the past, Luis worked with the Massachusetts Trial Court, the office of U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, and most recently as Legislative Aide to State Senator Brendan Crighton. He currently is the Field Mobilization Manager for YouthBuild USA. 

A member of the MPA Class of 2023, Fiona Healey is a Vice President at WORK Inc. in nearby Dorchester. Starting as a community training specialist she worked her way to her current position leading quality assurance, training, and family support services. Originally from the United Kingdom, she has a BA in applied social studies from Staffordshire University and a graduate certificate in nonprofit administration and finance from Suffolk University.
